What’s the difference between an inpatient surgical procedure and an outpatient surgical procedure?

An inpatient surgery is one that requires you to stay at least one night in the hospital after your surgery. Outpatient surgeries are simpler and less invasive, and you can go home within a matter of hours after your surgery.
